MSReadingSarah Haughn comes to performance as a former of placentas and poetries. Her academic labor follows the mediums of black maternal poïeses as they impinge upon, break down, and persist alongside anti-black worlding enterprises.

photo-8-2A poet-scholar and feminist mother, Sarah completed her BA in Human Ecology from the College of the Atlantic in 2008 and her MA in English with a concentration on creative writing from UC Davis in 2015. Between degrees, she birthed the children who continue to form and inform the stakes of her work.

In the current, she is finishing a manuscript of poems that, in part, are curious to disturb dominant modes of envisioning through inhabiting questions of gestation, the middle passage, and ecological trauma.
