Freedom Summer Collegiate is looking for doctoral students to design and teach advanced 4-week courses to high school student this June in Mississippi and Arkansas. We’re hoping that graduate students from your program will apply for this opportunity that will allow them to:
– Design and lead a 4-week course on anything in their area of expertise.
– Enjoy a summer teaching high school students in rural Mississippi or Arkansas.
– Develop as a teacher through this teaching experience, our coaching, and collaboration with other graduate students.
– Earn a stipend for their work, with housing provided.
Past participants of our program from Harvard, MIT, Duke, University of Rochester, Rutgers, and other universities have taught courses like Technology & identity, The Black Radical Imagination, The Good Life, Science & Democracy, Workers Rebellion, and The New World.
