Wednesday, October 12th, Dr. Ramón Martínez will be speaking on “Spanglish as a Literacy Tool.” He’s been studying the linguistic repertoires of multilingual students for over a decade, and this should be a really interesting talk for teachers, language enthusiasts and rhetoricians, alike.
Also on October 12th, in Voorhees 156, Rhetoric@Davis and the GGE will host a Brown Bag lunch with graduate students. We will talk about conducting classroom language research, among other topics related to Dr. Martínez’s work and experience in an hour of open conversation.
On October 19th, Rhetoric@Davis will host a follow-up conversation in 126 Voorhees. Lunch will be provided!
RSVPs are not required for these events.
