The Davis Feminist Film Festival is a grassroots event that works with UC Davis and the community. The goal of the festival is to showcase films with perspectives often missing from mainstream media. In our 11th year, we continue to strive for an inclusive public space for under-represented artists — particularly women and people of color — to discuss about gender, race, class, sexuality, and other dimensions of social inequality. We are excited to announce that this year’s festival will also feature a panel of experts discussing Black American Women filmmakers on Friday at 3:45pm! The Festival takes place over two nights: Thursday, May 19th; Friday, May 20th, 2016.
