J.E.A. Crake Drama Fellowship, 2016-2017
Mount Allison University is pleased to invite applications for the J.E.A. Crake Drama Fellowship for the academic year 2016-17.
The Crake Drama Fellowship is open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents, and the successful candidate will contribute to a non-conservatory inter-disciplinary program in Drama Studies that supports an extensive season of theatrical production in one of Canada’s top-ranked undergraduate universities.
The Fellow, an artist-scholar with a minimum qualification of an MFA or equivalent experience, will be asked to supervise student projects, make a public presentation (which may involve directing a production), contribute to program course-offerings in areas of the candidate’s expertise and interest “equivalent to work required to prepare and deliver one three-credit course per term”; and to provide leadership in other ways appropriate to her/his qualifications and experience while serving as part of a team of theatre professionals and academics.
The Fellow is expected to be in Sackville during the term of the appointment, from 1 September 2016 to 30 April 2017, and there is possibility of renewal for one further eight-month term. Subject to budgetary approval, the Fellow will receive $30,500.00 plus benefits including moving expenses, an amount for professional development, and health and dental insurance.
