We’re looking for facilitators (faculty members and graduate students) to present your work or lead discussion of your research-in-progress at subsequent meetings of our Sexualities Across the Disciplines research cluster. Our next meeting will be Tuesday, December 1, from 4:30 to 6 pm (location TBD). Please let us know if you would like to facilitate that workshop or one of our other monthly meetings.
Our meetings are informal and interactive. You will be able to share and discuss your ideas for research with other faculty and grad students from diverse disciplines who share an interest in sexualities. Typically, facilitators spend 15 to 20 minutes introducing the group to their work, before leading a group discussion and response session. We also welcome alternative workshop formats, including group work, performance, collaborative presentations, etc. If you wish, you may circulate a paper or other material prior to the workshop. Last month, Eric Russell (French and Italian) and Emma Leigh Waldron (Performance Studies) led us into fabulous conversations, and we would love to keep the momentum going.
If you’re interested in facilitating, please email Aaron (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Lee (email@example.com) with a brief description of the research you wish to discuss. Please also email us if you have any questions.
Looking forward to hearing from y’all–
Lee and Aaron
