I’m excited to announce a little summer one night stand!
The Franconia Performance Salon is getting together with the Museum of Performance + Design to host a once-in-a-lifetime pop-up salon, next Saturday 27th.
The MP+D is presenting the work of dancer and performance artist Alessio Silvestrin, who is in SF for a residency at the Conservatory of Dance. Hailing from Japan, this alumn of William Forsythe exposes different creative aspects in relation to the cycle of the year in a multi-faceted program of his own music and choreography as well as additional music by Karlheinz Stockhausen.
Preceding Alessio’s performance, we’ll hold Franconia Salon #14 in the beautiful space of the MP+D, featuring film & live performance by Derek Phillips, Rebecca Ormiston, Renu Cappelli, Tonyanna Borkovi, Yula Paluy, Jamie Lyons, and Michael Hunter, with additional performers TBA.
Please join us for our first salon venture outside of Franconia. Doors open at 6pm, with Franconia performances starting around 7, and Alessio’s performance beginning 9pm.
Hope to see you!
