Early modern drama fans won’t want to miss El animal de Hungría on Friday, April 17 at 7:00pm. El animal de Hungría by Lope de Vega (1562-1635) is a play about wild women living as animals and terrorizing the countryside. All are invited and entrance is free of charge. The play is being staged by La Poltrona, the theater troupe associated with UCD’s Dept. of Spanish and Portuguese. The show is in Spanish (but everyone familiar with early modern dramatic conventions will be able to figure things out) and will last 90 minutes.
